Shayna Prickett

Shayna advises clients on nonprofit compliance and represents individuals and businesses in a range of litigation matters, with a focus on election law, commercial disputes, and constitutional issues. She has extensive experience handling complex civil litigation and constitutional cases.

After earning a law degree, she served as a law clerk to the Honorable John M. Gerrard of the U.S. District Court for the District of Nebraska, where she gained firsthand insight into federal litigation and judicial decision-making. Shayna also externed for the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit, further sharpening her  analytical and appellate advocacy skills. Prior to joining GLG, Shayna spent several years in private practice, successfully litigating commercial, insurance, and personal injury cases.

Shayna’s background also includes formal training in mediation, an asset that informs how she approaches disputes. She incorporates a practical, solutions-driven mindset into negotiations and case strategy, enabling her to pursue strong advocacy while identifying efficient paths to resolution.

Before entering the legal profession, Shayna built a deep background in Nebraska government and politics. She worked on congressional campaigns, led a statewide voter registration initiative that successfully registered thousands of Nebraska voters, and served as a legislative aide in the Nebraska Unicameral. This experience further informs her understanding of election law and public policy matters.
